Amazon First Reads for June 2026
A new month and a new batch of books to pick from this month! If you’re an Amazon Prime subscriber you can choose TWO books! Here’s what’s available…
I chose The Tomorrow Tree by Carolyn Brown and The Museum of Second Chances by Jo Leevers. Initially, I thought Happier Here With You by Amy Gail Hansen would end up in my Kindle library but after reading the description, it felt like it could be a bit too romance novel for my taste. Fingers crossed I added to keepers to my library.
I’m just finishing up We Were the Lucky Ones by Georgia Hunter. It was my pick from the February’s Amazon First Reads. Once finished, I’ll bring my thoughts about it here in a future post. And by future, I’m hoping to finish the book and write the post later this week! My “To Be Read” list grows faster than my “I Read It” list. But having a lot of books to read is never a bad thing.
The women’s group at church is doing a summer book club and we’ll be meeting weekly to discuss A.W. Tozer’s book, The Pursuit of God. I’m really looking forward to this. Tozer is one of my favorite authors in the Christian realm of authors. Our women’s Sunday school class has been working through his book, The Attributes of God and it’s been wonderful. The book club also gives me a nice evening out which gives my husband time alone at home.
When his job moved to a permanent WFH status, I thought he’d get stir crazy, but much like me, he enjoys being at home as much as I do, but we do cherish having the house to ourselves every now and then.
Happy reading! I hope you find something from the AFR list or that you’re enjoying something else. Reading is such an amazing pastime. Not only does it allow us to slow down and shut the business of the world out for a short while, but reading gives us a glimpse into other lives, cultures, and time periods.
Peace,
B
