Murder at an Irish Christmas - An Irish Village Mystery Book 6
I’m currently reading the 6th book, Murder at an Irish Christmas, in the Carlene O’Connor cozy mystery series An Irish Village Mystery. This series is one of my favorites since I discovered the world of cozy mysteries. With half a book to go, I’m not sure why I don’t feel invested in it.
I’ll update this post once I complete the book and I’m hopeful that I fall in love with it like I did with the first five books.
Stay tuned…
Update: I finished the book. It’s not an immediate favorite. If this was the first book I read in the series, I might not have picked up others. Honestly, I’m not sure why it didn’t grab me other than it felt a bit light compared to previous books in the series. Because I love the series, the characters, and the mysteries I’m not going to give this a numerical reading.
If you haven’t read this one, you very well may love it. There are episodes in seasons of television shows that I don’t particularly love, but that doesn’t make me stop watching the series.
You should give it a try. You may love it and that’s the beauty of books. There are all sorts of books just waiting to be read. Some that have the wow factor, some we like, some that just aren’t for us and some we can’t finish.
Peace,
Nim
